Salini Impregilo recently presented the project’s main concrete supplier, Boral, with an international Best Supplier Award.
Boral is supplying concrete for segments for the two tunnels, and concrete for stations, structures and associated infrastructure.
Boral has shown exemplary commitment in the identification and implementation of sustainable opportunities on the project. Through its innovative use of Triple Blend Concrete and replacement of general-purpose cement in stations and structures, the project has achieved a 10% reduction in materials to be used on the project.
Award recipients were judged on excellence in management, organisation, costs, innovation, smart design, health, safety and the environment, supply chain, logistics, sustainability and human rights.
